The family Seesink originates from Varsseveld, in de Achterhoek, an area in Gelderland, a province of the Netherlands. Both north of and south of Varsseveld there is a farm named Seesink. The occupants of the farm at the north were a protestant family Seesink, the occupants of the farm at the south a catholic family Seesink. Our family tree is concerning the catholic Seesink family. Relationship between both families has not (yet) been demonstrated. Originally tenants of this farm, the catholic Seesinks spread slowly over a wider area in the Achterhoek, while a branch, via Dinxperlo, moved to an area south of Rotterdam and from there to Den Hague and surroundings. The professions are mainly found in the middle classes.
